BEST OF CLASS AWARD AT THE 2013 LA OLIVE OIL COMPETITION
From the Carlos Falco family farm near Toledo, Spain, this ultra premium extra virgin olive oil has a gleaming golden hue with exceptionally vivid and intense aromas. The scent is reminiscent of green tomatoes, freshly mowed grass, artichoke and green almonds. On the palate, it exhibits beautifully concentrated green vegetable and nutty aromas. Its finish is pleasantly spicy and persistent indicating its high poliphenol content (antioxidants); seven times that of the average oil. It is estate bottled in dark Bordeaux style glass like those of the family’s world class wines. The oil is made predominantly from Picual olives and is custom blended with Arbequina olives; it is then processed within two hours of being harvested. It adds refinement and flavor when drizzled over roasted vegetables, cured meats and grilled fish. It is also excellent for tossing with pasta and salads or simply dipping a piece of wonderful crusty bread.
